Abstract

Low student learning results because the level of understanding of students in learning
SCIENCE in the classroom is still very less especially in the heat transfer material. The
purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in the SCIENCE lesson of the
heat transfer material through demonstration method in class IV of SDN Pucangtelu.
The research design follows the model Kemmis and Mc. Tanggart ie PTK consisting of 2 cycles.
Each cycle consists and 4 stages i.e. action planning, action execution, observation and
reflection. Data collection through test and observation techniques. Data analysis is done
through the data reduction stage, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions from each
action.
The results showed a cycle I gained a success percentage of 55.5%. Cycle II gained a
percentage of 83.3%. This means that learning in cycle II meets the success indicators.
