Abstract

Learningcarriedoutbyteachers/researchersinclassVIofSDNegeri1Depok,TrenggalekRegency,onthematerialforelectionsandlocalelectionsmanyobstaclesexperienced.Thiselectionlearningrequiresstudentstounderstand,understandandmastertheelectoralandelectionmaterial.MasteryofmaterialinclassVIstudentsisstillverylessseenfromtheresultsoftestsonthismaterial.Ofthe18classVIstudentsonly7studentscompletetheirstudiesorgetlearningoutcomesinaccordancewithKKM.TherestisstillgettingavalueunderKKM.Basedontheformulationoftheproblemabove,thisstudyaimstodeterminetheimprovementinlearningoutcomesofclassVIstudentsatSDNegeri1Depok,TrenggalekRegency,onthematerialoftheelectoralprocessandlocalelectionsthroughtheroleplayingmethod.Thisresearchreferstotheimprovementofcontinuouslearning.KemmisandTaggart(1988:14)statethattheactionresearchmodelisspiral.Thisresearchwasconductedusing2cycles,namelySuklisIandcycleII.Eachcycleconsistsofplanning,implementation,observationandreflection.Basedondataanalysis,itcanbedescribedthattheresultsofthefirstcycletestamountedto74.89,theresultsofthesecondcycletestwere81.72sothattherewasanincreaseof6.83.Theresultsofthefirstcycleofobservationsamountedto52.21%,theresultsofthesecondcycleofobservationsamountedto79.99%sothatanincreaseof27.78%.Theoverallincreaseamountedto34.61withanaverageincreaseof17.30%.ThusitcanbeconcludedthatthereisanincreaseinlearningoutcomesofclassVIstudentsatSDNegeri1Depok,TrenggalekRegency,onthematerialoftheelectoralprocessandlocalelectionsthroughtheroleplayingmethod.
